Laffing Sal

Background: Between 1930 and 1950 almost 300 Laffing Sal animated figures were sold in the US. The giggling, gyrating woman with the gap-toothed grin was used to entertain and draw in visitors at the entrance to fun houses, dark rides, roller coasters and midways at amusement parks of that bygone era.

This Laffing Sal is one of the few remaining original characters known to exist today.
